International programmes


Grigol Robakidze University has close contacts with higher educational institutions and centers of Europe and the USA. A lot of international programs have been accomplished and are being accomplishing at the University. These programs consider sending students abroad to study as well as for practice and work. They also intend distance learning and research.
 
Grigol Robakidze University gives students all kinds of opportunities to study in prestigious institutions in different European and USA countries, share the experience of these institutions, and raise their qualification.
 
Grigol Robakidze University has signed the Memorandum of Cooperation with Nottingham Trent University (UK), which includes all aspects of the university life including student exchange programs. This memorandum is the most significant though an indirect result of Tempus TACIS Project, which began its implementation at Grigol Robakidze University in March 2001 and was accomplished in June 2003.
 
The University cooperates with the Center for International Development at Harvard University. The Department of Economic Sciences is involved in the International Research Project - "World Economic Forum", which considers the study and research of the tendencies of the economic development in the Post-Soviet countries.
                                                                                                                
Grigol Robakidze University has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Seattle Central Community College (USA). American colleagues and especially the Vice-Rector of the College Mr. Antonio Baretto Ogilvie took into consideration the economic condition of Georgia and reduced the tuition fee by 60 percent. The University expresses him its gratitude.
 
Grigol Robakidze University has signed the Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Georgia Center for Continuing Education (USA). 75 percent of the tuition fee is financed by the American side. Grigol Robakidze University expresses gratitude to the Coordinator for Student Services of the University System of Georgia Ms  Vanessa Holt, the Head of Conference  Programme Development at Georgia Centre for Continuing  Education Ms Christine Burgoyne who made special effort in the accomplishment of this programme and  to Ms Sylvia R. MacLaurine who put her personal contribution to the financing of this programme. The University is also thankful to Professor Nino Kemertelidze who placed great role in the accomplishment of this programme.
 
The same kind of Memorandum is signed between Grigol Robakidze University and the American Institute of Applied Sciences (Youngsville, North Caroline, USA).
 
The University has signed the Affiliation Agreement with Cambridge International College (UK), which enables students to take distance learning courses in different spheres and get an appropriate diploma or certificate.
 
The University has also signed an agreement with the Centre for Economic Research and Graduate Education, Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic). This gives the opportunity to the graduates of the School of Economics and Business to study a doctorate program and write their thesis.
 
Besides, the University has signed the Agreement with Business School Shardon (Switzerland), witch is the union of Hotel and Tourism Institute, Investment and Finance Institute, and Computer Science Institute. Students can study on the Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in tourism and business administration. 
 
Grigol Robakidze University has signed various Agency Agreements or Agreements of International Education Cooperation with a lot of higher educational institutions of England, Germany, Ireland, Denmark, Hungary. These agreements enable students to pass short or long-term language courses the whole year or during the summer period. These institutions also offer Bachelor’s and Master’s Programs in different fields.
 
The University has also signed the agreement with the  Council of International Programs USA (Cleveland, Ohio, USA) which considers sending students and graduates over 21 to different States within the USA and work according to their profession for 4, 12 or 18 months.
