TBILISI, BUDAPEST, OXFORD

In 2007 Grigol Robakidze University started accomplishment of a new, essentially different project in Georgian reality.

This project is one more practical revelation of the integration in the European educational space what, on its turn, greatly raises the educational standards of our university.

The scheme of the project is as follows:

The first stage – students study at Grigol Robakidze University.

The second stage – on the final year students continue studying at the International Business

School in Budapest on the bases of the credits accumulated at Grigol

Robakidze University.

The third stage – students get the Academic Degree and a Diploma of Oxford Brookes

University.

Mechanism

Oxford Brookes University and the International Business School in Budapest have the agreement according to which the International Business School accomplishes the educational programmes of Oxford Brookes University which are monitored by the latter.

On its turn, the International Business School, with the agreement of Oxford Brookes University, considered and approved the educational programmes of Grigol Robakidze University on the basis of which the partnership agreement was signed with our university.

Basis

The project fully meets the requirements of the Bologna process which will encourage such kinds of projects as it contributes to quick raising of the educational standard of young universities up to level of classical, well-known universities. It is noteworthy that the Business School has implemented the similar project in Moscow and Sweden.

Which spcialities does the project concern?

Business Organization and Management – students will be awarded the Bachelor’s Academic Degree in Business Administration (BBA), also the Master’s Academic Degree in Strategic Finances and International Business (MS).
Tourism Management – students will be awarded the Bachelor’s Academic Degree of Business Administration in Tourism and Travel Studies (BBA), also the Master’s Academic Degree in Strategic Finances and International Business (MS).
Public Administration - students will be awarded the Bachelor’s Academic Degree of Business Administration in International Business Relations and Business Studies (BBA), also the Master’s Academic Degree in Strategic Finances and Human Resource Management (MS).
Journalism - students will be awarded the Bachelor’s Academic Degree in International Business Relations (BBA).

Major priority of the project

Students will gain the qualification of the European standard and be awarded the Academic Degree and a Diploma of Oxford Brookes University with minimal financial expenses. It must be mentioned that the administration of the Business School reduced the tuition fee for our university up to 20 % and exempted our university from the registration fee – 800 Euro.

Major result

Green light on the labour market of Georgia and Europe.

Can other young people be involved in this project?

Those young people who do not study at our university can be sent to Budapest on Oxford Brookes University programme, but they have to study not only one year, but have to complete the whole cycle of studying – 4 years on the Bachelor’s programme and a year and a half on the Master’s programme.

What is required to participate in this project?

a) Filling application form in the Centre of International Integration (Office on the IV floor).

b) Achieving advanced level in English. Applicants can pass corresponding courses at our university as well as in other organizations.

c) Not less C-B level in major modules.
